c4c recommend that 50% of the relevant workforce are trained to an awareness level in Lean tools and techniques. This will enhance their ability to contribute in improvement activities and lower the organisation’s inertia in adopting a Lean culture.
Course outline
Awareness training typically consists of a 1 day training session and is aimed at providing attendees with a basic level of knowledge of the tools and techniques of Lean.
Training covers the cultural aspects of lean as well as the some key aspects of lean such as elimination of waste, workplace organisation (5S), process flow and problem solving tools such as brainstorming, 5 why’s, cause and effect.
The course is interspersed with games and exercises designed to make learning fun and absorbing.
All attendees receive a ‘Lean awareness certificate’.
