Six Sigma improvements

Six Sigma is a data centric problem solving set of tools aimed at reducing variation and waste in processes.

c4c’s certified Black Belt specialists use the classic DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) methodology to improve complex problems using data to guide and confirm solutions.

Graphing data in six-sigmaSix Sigma complements lean very well, bringing excellent analysis and a deep understanding of the problem and therefore an enhanced solution. It is typical to improve processes by over 70% using Six Sigma!

c4c will manage Six Sigma projects for you or provide additional resource to support your own in-house team.

Process variation model in six-sigmaAll processes have inputs and outputs. The more the inputs and the process itself vary, the more the output will vary. This variation is often the cause of poor quality, inefficiency and delays. By applying the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology, the sources and root causes of the variation can be identified, eliminated and controls put in place to make improvements permanent.

SPC PRE_control used in six-sigmaThe tools of Six Sigma include; VOC techniques for capturing the voice of the customer, value stream mapping (VSM), data analysis such as correlation and regression, statistical process control and process capability, the powerful design of experiment (DOE) techniques for optimising processes, hypothesis testing, process modelling and many more.
